Thounaojam Bira condoled

The Manipur Ex MLA Welfare Association has conveyed their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family of former MLA Thounaojam Bira Singh who breathed his last on August 27 at his native village in Utlou, Bishnupur. He was 91.
According to a statement issued by the Manipur Ex MLA Welfare Association, Th Bira was elected during the 7th Manipur Legislative Assembly election and served as the Revenue Minister.
Touching upon the political leader's background, Manipur Ex MLA Welfare Association stated that before his entry into politics, Thounaojam Bira Singh served as the Education Director for 15 years under the Government of Manipur.
He was one of the many torch bearers of quality education in the State and someone who was passionate about sports, Arts & Culture, the statement added.
Adding that his demise will leave a void in society, the Association has informed of handing over an amount of Rs 50,000 to the bereaved family of Th Bira as a token of love.
