IMPHAL, Aug 28:  Tomthin Group Imphal in colla-boration with ADECO Technologies Dubai and Federal Sourcing, Dubai organised a first of its kind Dubai-Imphal Business Summit 2022 at Hotel Classic Grande today.
It may be noted that the summit was held with the objective of promoting and developing the tourism sector of Manipur.  
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr Dhabali Thang-jam, Chairman and Mana- ging Director, Classic Group of Hotels stated that Mani- pur has a lot of untapped potential in the tourism sector.
Touching upon the significantly improved law and order situation in the State, he said that promoting the tourism sector is of utmost importance at the moment.
However, in trying to promote the tourism sector, it is important to improve the existing infrastructure. This includes improving road connectivity, developing road side amenities etc which are the responsibilities of the State Govern- ment, he maintained.
He also appealed to the educated youths of Manipur to step into the field of entrepreneurship instead of merely applying for Government jobs in order to pro- mote Manipur tourism.
Tomthin Group's Managing Director, Abdul Noor also addressed the gathering and urged the public and the State administration to lend their support towards Tomthin Group's effort to promote the tourism sector.  
The summit was also attended by Mohd Farooque of Tomthin Group Imphal; Ranjith Janardhanan of ADECO Technologies LLC Dubai;  Ajith Kumar of Federal Sourcing, Dubai; Md Tajuddin, Managing Director, Public Hospital & Research Institute and Md Sultan Ahamed Khan, Iqra Distance Education, Training and Research Institute Manipur as the president, special guest and guests of honour.
