MDA resolves

IMPHAL, Aug 26 : A meeting of Manipur Democratic Alliance (MDA) which was formed by nine political parties has resolved to sponsor candidates in the upcoming local body elections.
The meeting of MDA convened today at Hotel Imphal was presided by former Minister Bijoy Koijam.
Apart from agreeing to sponsor candidates in the forthcoming Municipal Council, Panchayat and Zilla Parishad elections, the meeting also unanimously resolved to urge the Government to establish Railway Recruitment Board in Manipur and legalise brewing of local liquor for export purposes only and to form a full fledged committee with Chief Minister N Biren Singh as the chairman to resolve the issues at Moreh. During the meeting, the MDA also appointed Manmeet Singh Arora and Parminder singh Manchanda as its constituent member and co-convenor respectively.
