CPI forms Nagaland State Committee

The Nagaland State Committee, Communist Party of India was formed yesterday at an event held at the auditorium of Hotel Jal Mahal located in Dimapur, Nagaland after observing necessary formalities.
As per a statement issued by Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI), a committee comprising of 11 members was formed.
Dr MM Thromwa Konyak was appointed as State secretary, P Konyak as assistant secretary and KL Sheiza as treasurer among others.
The event was attended by Pangsen Konyak, member of CPI; Munin Mahanta, National executive member, CPI and secretary of Assam State Committee, CPI; L Sotinkumar, secretary, MSC/CPI and Thokchom Suresh, executive member, MSC/CPI as the presidium members.
Dr MM Thromwa Konyak addressed the gathering and presented a full report on  the prospect, role and function of the newly formed committee in connection with the political climate of Nagaland.
Noted party leaders Munin Mahanta and L Sotinkumar also spoke on the occasion and assured the audience that CPI will work relentlessly towards alleviating the suffering of the people and bringing about social change.
