IMPHAL, Aug 26: BJP Wangoi Mandal advisor Wahengbam Nimai has called for distribution of rice allocated under PMGKAY to the beneficiaries across 18 polling stations in Wangoi constituency.
Wahengbam Nimai made the appeal during a press conference held at Top Siphai today.
He alleged that 6 FPS agents were responsible for the distribution of rice under PMGKAY scheme to the beneficiaries in 40 polling station in Wangoi constituency. Out this, 3 agents are responsible for 22 polling stations while the remaining 3 are responsible for 18 polling stations, the advisor claimed.
However, the FPS agents for the 18 polling stations have still not distributed the allocated rice for the month of May to the beneficiaries, he alleged.
As such, he called for prompt distribution of the allocated rice under PMGKAY at the earliest.
