Senior Citizen Forum appeals

KAKCHING, Aug 23 : Nongmaithem Nimai, president Senior Citizen Forum, Kakching has called for public support in constructing the Old Age Home at Kakching Wairi Panjao Panlum.
Addressing a press conference today, N Nimai stressed on the emerging need of old age homes to provide care for the elderly.
He informed that considering the need of an Old Age Home, the Forum initiated the project to construct a Home at Kakching Wairi Panjao Panlum.
He continued that construction of 8 rooms in ground floor and auditorium in 1st floor of the main structure have been carried out with monetary assistance of Rs 20 lakh from MP Local Area Development Fund.
He also highlighted the need to complete the ongoing construction to ensure activities of the Forum are not interrupted.
"All funds of the forum, donations and contributions from Committee members have been utilized to carry out the construction", said N Nimai while appealing to the life members, sympathizers and the public to provide their support to ensure the completion of the ongoing construction.
