IMPHAL, Jul 3 : To help the smooth conduct of the search operation, the district administration of Noney has put certain restrictions on the entry of vehicles and visitors at Ground Zero of the landslide.
An order to this effect was issued by the Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, Haulianlal Guite, who is also the Deputy Commissioner of Noney district.
To ensure that there is smooth and efficient operation of vehicles used in the search and rescue operation, the Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority said that only vehicles used in search and rescue operations shall be allowed to go beyond the NH-37 junction point; For all other vehicles, only those with entry passes issued from the office of the DC shall be allowed. SDO of Haochong (8414876531) shall issue the passes only on reasonable grounds in consultation with the DC and SP of Noney; No vehicle carrying relief materials from CSOs and other well wishers shall be allowed beyond the highway junction; all such materials shall be deposited at the DC office where SDO, Haochong shall receive them, said the order.
