Protection and Preservation Committee Manipur interacts with villagers

The condition of villages especially in the hilly region of the State still continues to remain in a pitiable state with lack of adequate amenities.
A team of the Protection and Preservation Committee Manipur (PPCM) held an interactive session with the representatives of villages namely Chakan Long, Tupul, Taokomjang, Phoibut and Namduanjang to check on their issues and grievances.
As per a press release by PPCM, members of Tupul Youth Club, Church elders and women representatives were present during the meeting and they highlighted the problems faced by the villages due to lack of proper facilities such as no quarters for Government employees, absence of teachers and so on.
The representatives expressed the desire that the authorities concerned address the grievances of the villagers so as to enhance connectivity and strengthen the bond of love and harmony among the people of the hills and the valley.
Further the villages also stressed on the need of building hygienic toilet facilities in Tupul Bazar for the convenience of the locals.
After the interactive session, the members of PPCM presented simple gifts to the villagers as a token of love and respect, added the release.
