Chief Minister N Biren Singh has conveyed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for making suitable arrangements for the Agnipath Army Recruitment Rally for the youth of Manipur in the State itself.
Army aspirants of the State can now take part in the recruitment rally at Leimakhong from November 23 to December 5, 2022.
The Agniveer recruitment for all the districts of Manipur, was earlier scheduled to be held at Dimapur.
Registration for the recruitment rally can be done by logging in to joinindianarmy.nic.in and the registration window will be opened till August 3, 2022. Candidates who have already registered earlier need not register again.
Agnipath scheme was introduced by the Indian Government on June 14, 2022 for recruitment of soldiers below the rank of commissioned officers into the three services of the armed forces.
