Cleanliness drive held

Senapati, Jul 13 : Senapati Gorkha Samaj in coordination with Karong Senapati Town Committee (KSTC) today organised a cleanliness drive in Senapati District Headquarters.
Speaking to media persons, A John, president KSTC appealed to the public and civil organisations to provide their assistance in making Senapati a clean town.
He informed that KSTC has imposed restrictions on littering of waste materials within the town.
He also urged all the taxi and Auto rickshaw drivers to spread awareness on cleanliness  and littering of waste materials while travelling.
About 400 participants took part in the drive including members of Manipur Gorkha Welfare Union, Senapati Unit and All Manipur Gorkha Students Union, Senapati Unit under Senapati Gorkha Samaj.
The drive was reportedly organised to commemorate the 209th Bhanu Jyanti.
