Football coaching camp underway

A month long football coaching camp organised by Social Development Club (SDC), Shamurou ahead of the upcoming 28th L Sangita Devi Memorial 1st Division Football League tournament (Imphal West) kicked off today under the sponsorship of Ph Landhoni Devi.
The said district level tournament is to be held at Sekmai Ground under the supervision of Imphal West District Football Association.
The opening ceremony of the residential football coaching camp was attended by sponsor Ph Landhoni Devi, founder of Standard Robarth Hr Secondary School, Canchipur ; Ph Nando Luwang, president All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation; Khumanthem Tomba Singh, Scientist at Manipur Pollution Control Board and Sanasam Nabajiban, OC Wangoi PS as presidium members, said SDC in a statement.
The opening day of the camp also saw friendly football matches played between SDC U-13 boys vs PFA U-13 boys; SDC U-14 boys vs WAFA U-14 boys and SDC, Shamurou vs AMOFA, Moirang, the statement added.
