Manipur amass 43 medals at Sub-Junior Wushu Nationals

IMPHAL, Jul 13 : Manipur Wushu players have amassed as many as 43 medals including 19 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze in the 22nd Sub-Junior Wushu Championship being underway at Luhnu Sports Complex, Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh since July 9.
The State girls who have won Manipur gold medals in the National championship are - RK Lanchenbi (2 gold medals: Gunshu and Daoshu ), Toijam Priyanka  (Jianshu) , Kh Lanchenbi (Qiangshu), Laitonjam Lingthoingambi (Taolu Group C Taijiquan), P Dellina (Taolu Group C Changquan),  Christina Kangjam (Traditional type), Keya Hanjabam (Traditional type) and Leimapokpam Pinky (Quanshu).
Among the boys, Khundrakpam Henthoiba won two gold medals, one each in the Daoshu and Gunshu events as Thangjam Wangthoi bagged another two gold medals by finishing first Gunshu and Changquan event and Nongmaithem Nikhil in Gunshu and Quanshu events.
Khumukcham Hulison (Qiangshu) and Yaiphaba Khuraijam (Taijiquan) and Bikas Leitam (traditional type Nanquan) also won Manipur a gold medal each.
The State athletes who have earned silver medals for Manipur are- Hulison (Changquan), Th Yaiphaba (Daoshu), Th Yaingakpa (Gunshu), N Nikhiil (Changquan), Nongmeikapam Paikhomba (traditional Nanquan), L Pinky (Changquan), N Ahenbi (Gunshu) and RK Lanchenbi (Jianshu).
Meanwhile the State athletes who bagged bronze medals are Renold Hanjabam ( 2 medals : Changquan and Gunshu), Th Yaiphabi (2 medals : Daoshu and Gunshu), Chingkheihunba (Qiangshu), Jupiter Elangbam (Changquan) and Britain Mangsatabam (Changquan).
