Three injured in scuffle

IMPHAL, Jul 10 : Three persons were injured yesterday night around 11 pm as a result of a scuffle at Khurai Puthiba Leikai.
The persons who suffered injuries have been identified as Thangjam Premchand (45), Thangjam Kanon (50) and Thangjam Ashananda (26) as stated by Laishram Indileo, general secretary, Khurai Social Youth Club (KSYC) during a press conference held today at Khurai Lamlong.
Indileo went on to allege that the scuffle broke out when Thangjam Ibopishak's sons, namely, Th Somorendro (59), Th Bijoy (48), Th Ratan (38) and Th Bijay (s/o Th Somorendro) entered Th Premchand's (s/o L Th Chandramani) house and started a fight. He also claimed that the accused persons also directed many harsh words at club members when they went in to stop the fight.
As such, he appealed to the relevant authorities to take up appropriate action against these individuals and further added that the club had banned the accused persons from residing in and entering the locality. It may be noted that Th Premchand's forefinger on his left hand was gravely injured in the scuffle and he is currently receiving medical treatment for the same.
