CME programme commences

IMPHAL, Jul 10 : The IMA College of General Practitioners (CGP) Faculty, Manipur CME (Continuing Medical Education) was kicked off today in an event held at the hall of Indian Medical Association, Manipur State Branch (IMA,MSB), Lamphelpat.
It may be noted that the event was jointly organised by IMA,MSB and IMA College of General Practitioners (CGP) Faculty, Manipur.
Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Dr James Elangbam, honorary member, IMA,MSB said that during the programme specialist doctors will impart valuable knowledge and experience to general practitioners on every Sunday.
He added that altogether 32 general practitioners (MBBS/PG passed out) will participate in the CME which will be conducted over a period of 9 months.
On the first of the CME, Dr Salam Ranabir, MD (general medicine), DM (endocrinology), Associate Professor, RIMS spoke on the topic "The role of Vitamin D3 in health".
The event was also attended by Dr Kh Ratankumar, managing Director, Mother's Care Children Hospital Moirang Leirak; Dr Santa Naorem, Professor, Department of Medicine RIMS; Dr S Jugindro, president IMA,MSB; Dr Shyamkumar, Director, IMA CGP Faculty and Dr A Vivekananda, secretary.
