Blood donation camp held

A voluntary blood donation camp was organised today at the College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat campus in association with JNIMS Blood Centre.
The blood donation camp was held under the theme 'Give someone a second chance, Donate blood, It's Safe, It's Easy, It Saves Lives'.
An awareness programme was also held today led by Dr Konsam Surjit Singh, Medical Officer, JNIMS Blood Centre emphasizing on the importance of blood donation.
During the camp, the doctors highlighted the need for voluntary blood donation and also spoke about amount of blood one can donate, health benefit after donating blood, list of test performed on every donated unit of blood and the responsibilities of blood donor.
A total of 25 donors donated blood in today's camp.
