Two shot, one succumbs

IMPHAL, Jun 23: Out of two men shot by unidentified gunmen at Kakching Wairi Leishangthem Pareng, Kakching district at around 6.45 pm today, one has succumbed to the injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Madan Yadav (30) s/o Shiv Pujal Yadav from Bihar and he was staying in a rented house at Kakching Wairi Leishangthem Pareng.
He was hit by a bullet on the head.
The other identified as Bharat Yadav (35) s/o Shivnath Yadav from Bihar was rushed to a nearby hospital as he sustained bullet injury on the right thigh.
Altogether six labourers were staying in the rented house and they are said to be construction workers.
Following the incident, Kakching district police carried out search operations at suspected areas, sources informed.
