Houses gutted

SENAPATI, Jun 20 : Five houses were gutted in a fire on the night of June 19 at Taphou, 9th MR, near Satyam Industry, Senapati.
According to reliable information, the source of the fire has been linked to a lit candle which ignited the bamboo walls of the house.
The fire then spread to nearby houses, gutting five of them in the process.
Eye witnesses who were present at the spot reported that none of the families were able to save any of their household belongings.
 The fire reportedly started around 8:30 pm and despite the rainy weather and the assistance of Senapati fire brigade, the five houses were unfortunately reduced to ashes.
