Ombudsman office, IW inaugurated

The long awaited office of the Ombudsman (MGNREGA), Imphal West District was inaugurated by Adhyaksha of Imphal West Zila Parishad RK Taruni Devi at the Haorang Sabal Block Office, DC Office Complex, Lamphelpat today.
In his opening remarks, Keisham Jadumani Singh, DPC (RD&PR), Imphal West highlighted the role of the Ombudsman in bridging the gap between the officials and the Job Card holders in the field, said a press release by office of the Ombudsman (MGNREGA), Imphal West District.
Any issues raised by the people relating to the implementation of MGNREGS will be looked after and the grievances will be redressed in time through the office of the Ombudsman. There will be a big room for rectification on the part of the officials and timely disposal of the complaints from the people, he added.
Speaking at the occasion, RK Taruni Devi expressed her gratitude to the Government for selecting a separate Ombudsman for Imphal West District.
She also assured to extend full support and cooperation to the Ombudsman while maintaining a cordial relationship between the implementing agency and the public at large.
Yumnam Laksman Singh, newly appointed Ombudsman of Imphal West District appreciated the efforts made by the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West for allotting office rooms for the Ombudsman. He also thanked the DPC and the Project Officers for their untiring work to open the office of the Ombudsman, added the release.
