"Paokhum" released

KAKCHING, Jun 19 : A novel titled, "Paokhum" written by Sahitya Akademi Awardee Kshetri Bira of Kakching Sumak Leikai was released on Sunday in 5 different places namely Kakching, Lakhipur, Agartala, Guwahati and Delhi.
In Kakching, Sahitya Seva Samiti Kakching in association with Angom Ningthou Preservation and Documentation Centre Uripok Achom Leikai, Imphal organised the book release ceremony at the auditorium of Library & Information Centre Kakching, Kakching Phousupat Leikai.
It was attended by Dhanamanjuri University Imphal, Vice Chancellor Professor Nongmaithem Rajmuhon; Manipur University, Dean of Students Professor Nahakpam Aruna Devi; and Sahitya Akademi Awardee Maibam Nabakishwore as presidium members.
Dr Wahengbam Kumari Chanu, Associate Professor, Manipuri Department, Manipur University also attended the event.
Similar events were organised at Naharol Khorirol Sillupki shanglen, Lakhipur, Cachar, Assam by Naharol Khorirol Sillup, Assam; South Dhaleshwar, Agartala, Tripura, by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Tripura; Manipur Basti HS High School, Manipur Basti, Guwahati by Patriotic Writer's Association, Guwahati; and at MCD Civic Centre, New  Delhi by Delhi Kakching Society.
