National workshop on Promotion of Oil Palm on June 14

The Department of Agriculture, Manipur will be organizing a one day National workshop on Promotion of Oil Palm in Manipur on June 14 (Tuesday) at Hotel Classic Grande, Chingmeirong.
As per a press release by the Director of Agriculture, the workshop is being organised with the aim of clarifying doubts and differences arising while promoting Oil Palm in the State.
The Director of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research (IIOPR), Pedavegi, Andhra Pradesh and Scientist in-charge of All India Coordinated Research Project on Oil Palm, College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh will be deliberating in the workshop amongst other experts. State representatives of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram along with their successful farmers will also give their presentations.
Interested academicians and farmers may attend the workshop by making prior registration at the Directorate of Agriculture, added the release.
