Children's art exhibition held

IMPHAL, Jun 11: A children's art exhibition was held at GP Women's College today organised by the Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) Imphal West District Council.
In today's exhibition, paintings drawn by the students during the painting competition held on World Environment Day were displayed.
Speaking in connection with the exhibition, Vice-president of DESAM, Imphal West District Council, Hemchand Ningthoujam said that the art exhibition has been organised to  present the thinking of the students in public domain through their paintings which were drawn in the painting competition held under the theme 'Sustainable development through environmental protection'.
Also prizes were distributed to the winners of the painting competition which was held in two categories.
Around 1400 paintings were displayed in the exhibition.
