Renowned film critic RK Bidur remembered

IMPHAL, Jun 9: Manipur Film Journalists and Critics Association (MFJCA) organised the 1st Memorial Observance of RK Bidur today at Maichou Taret Shanglen at Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak.
The observance started off by paying homage and floral tributes to the photo of renowned personality (late) RK Bidur.
Chairman of Chorus Repertory Theatre, Ratan Thiyam, former member of Imphal Cine Club, Thounaojam Kishworchand Singh, National Film Critic Swarna Kamal awardee, Meghachandra Kongbam and president of MFJCA, Manindra Konsam graced the occasion as the presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest, Ratan Thiyam recalled RK Bidur's significant contributions in Manipur who was a prominent film critic and strove earnestly for the development of Manipuri Cinema. He also recounted RK Bidur's remarkable literary works and maintained that the current and upcoming generations should follow the footsteps of this notable personality.
