Cease work strike

IMPHAL, May 9: Taking strong exception to the Government’s failure to disburse monthly salaries on the first day of every month, the Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association (MSSA) has resolved to launch cease work strike from tomorrow (May 10) until and unless the matter is settled satisfactorily.
All employees have been paying penalty to banks for not repaying bank loans on the first day of every month on account of non-disbursal of monthly salaries regularly, said a press release issued by MSSA.    
Irregular disbursal of monthly salary has been causing financial difficulties, affecting family budgeting etc which entails great loss to all employees, it added.
