DESAM appeals

IMPHAL, May 4
Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has appealed to the State administration to appoint a new Director of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Govt of Manipur.
It may be noted that this post has been lying vacant since March 1, 2021.
In a statement, DESAM said that the absence of a director at SCERT has affected the output of work carried out by the department, leaving many important duties unfulfilled.
DESAM also noted the conflict surrounding the topic of seniority of the eligible candidates for the post of director and appealed to the State Government to solve the matter in a manner that would be amicable to all parties.
