JAC demands justice
IMPHAL, May 2: The JAC Against the Killing of Loushangbam Rabichandra has urged the Government to do justice without any further delay to the controversial death of L Rabichandra of Sanjenbam Khullen, Imphal East.
L Rabichandra was working as a care-taker of a fish farm at Nongren Happyland which is owned by one Longjam Jackson alias Sanjit of Hiyanglam Makha Leikai, Kakching district.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here this afternoon, JAC secretary Akoijam Birjit urged the Government to book and punish all the culprits involved in the suspicious death of L Rabichandra according to law.
He appealed to the Police Department to file due charge-sheet in time so that the culprits are not released on bail.
The JAC secretary also appealed to the State Government to provide ex-gratia to the bereaved family of Rabichandra.
He further urged the Government to appoint a competent officer as the Investigating Officer of the particular case and take up necessary steps so as to avert similar incidents in future.
