KIM condemns

IMPHAL, May 27: The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has condemned the re-publication of a statement it issued on July 23, 2021 with regard to Dr Mark Thangkhomang Haokip in some sections of media recently.
The re-publication is iniquitous and shocking, specially at a time of public disquiet due to the alleged ‘unlawful arrest’ of Mark Thangkhomang Haokip, said a press release issued by KIM vice-president Sominthang Doungel.
“The Kuki Inpi Manipur will always stand for peace and harmony among communities and promote understanding and acceptance of different cultures and traditions. Nevertheless, as an apex body of the Kukis in Manipur, the Kuki Inpi Manipur will invariably  commit to the cause of the Kukis, and work to protect the rights and privileges of the Kukis”, it said.
