CRPF fetes

IMPHAL, May 27 :  IGP of Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF Imphal Manish Kumar Agrawal felicitated a CRPF officer from Manipur Assistant  Commandant Loukrakpam Ibomcha Singh who was awarded 2nd bar of President’s Medal for Gallantry (PMG), today.
The CRPF Officer is son of L Deben Singh and L Anoubi of  Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, Imphal East, Manipur. He joined CRPF in 2013.
A press release issued by CRPF Group Centre, Imphal said that Assistant Commandant Sh Loukrakpam Ibomcha rescued 5 CRPF personnel and gunned down three militants in December 2017 while he was posted in Kashmir.
The CRPF officer also took part in a major operation in October 2018 during which two LeT terrorists and one over ground worker were killed, apart from seizing a huge cache of arms and ammunition, it said and added that L Ibomcha Singh was awarded PMG with 2nd Bar in both incidents.
The Assistant Commandant is also a recipient of PPMG.
At the occasion, IGP of Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF Imphal Manish Kumar Agrawal said that the bravery and valour of the officer has brought pride and laurels to the whole organization.
 He encouraged all the officers and jawans to exhibit similar courage while discharging their duties. Assistant Commandant Sh L Ibomcha Singh expressed his gratitude to the CRPF and the Ministry of Home Affairs for rewarding him with PMGs.
