Governor fetes Renshi Soibam Bindeshori with India Book of Records certificate

IMPHAL, May 27 : In a solemn event, Governor of Manipur La Ganeshan today presented Renshi Soibam Bindeshori Chanu a medal and the certificate of India Book of Records at Raj Bhavan this morning.
It may be noted that Bindeshori Chanu, daughter of Soibam Kuber and Yaima Devi entered the India Book of Records as the first World Karate Federation certified woman kumite and kata coach.
Bindeshori's parents and teacher, Kyoshi Mutum Bankim Chandra were also present at the event.
Bindeshori Chanu is the instructor of Shito-Ryu Karate Federation of India and referee commission member of North East Karate Do Association and Manipur Amateur Karate-Do association besides being  the vice chairman of the women's commission of Karate India Organisation.
She holds the referee "A" certificate of the National federation and is a 6th Dan black-belt holder.
