Health & Family Welfare and IPR Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has categorically stated that controlling food quality is incredibly important to prevent people from consuming unhygienic food.
Addressing the convocation ceremony of Green Can Institute at the auditorium of MSFDS at Palace Compound today, the Minister continued that the Food Safety Department has been checking the quality of food available to the public on a regular basis so that public health is not compromised.
He further said that not all packaged food products being sold in the market are healthy.
Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan Singh also attended the programme and lauded the Managing Director of Green Can Institute for his initiative in bakery and culinary arts.
Saying that the youth of the State need to be equipped with right knowledge and skill so that they could become job providers, the MLA congratulated the trainees who have passed out from Green Can Institute.
