Awardees felicitated

KAKCHING, May 23 : Padma Shree awardee Moirangthem Muktamani Devi and National Panchayat awardees were felicitated in separate events held in Kakching today.
The padma Shree awardee was felicitated at an event held in SBI Kakching branch which was attended by Mayanglambam Nimai Singh,  chief manager, RBO Imphal; Khumukcham Newtonkumar Singh, manager-in-charge, SBI Kakching, Ningthoujam Buddhachandra Singh, chief associate and other important officials of the bank.
Ningthoujam Budhachandra Singh said that the bank was proud to have a customer receive one of the highest civilian awards. He also assured the bank's support in creating more entrepreneurs like Moirangthem Muktamani Devi.
Moirangthem Muktamani Devi also expressed joy upon receiving the award and stated that the Government had recognised her 30 years of hardwork in the shoe business.
Separately, National Panchayat awardees were felicitated in an event held at Mayeng Lamjao Mayai Leikai public ground organised by Khungang Semgat Sagatpa Lup (KSSL).
The event was attended by Prof N Mohendro Singh, National Secretary, All India Parishad New Delhi; Moirangthem Sohodeba singh, Consultant PMU, RD & PR, Govt. Of Manipur and U Kunjo Meitei, advisor KSSL. The National Panchayat awardees were presented with simple gifts from KSSL and honoured.
