RIMS celebrates graduation day

Imphal, May 21 (DIPR): Health & IPR Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has said that doctors need to have a spirit to serve the needy people and they should be blessed by the sincere and noble service they render to patients.
Minister Ranjan was speaking at the Graduation Ceremony, 2022 of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), held at the institute’s jubilee hall today.
He said that there are big responsibilities of a doctor ahead after graduating.
During the period of learning as medical students, one can learn a lot of things and they also experienced many different lessons. All the knowledge they gain should be dedicated to the service of humanity, he added.
He maintained that everybody face a lot of challenges in life. Medical students and young doctors should not forget that the medical profession is a noble profession, he stated.
Ranjan also maintained that life is full of struggle and there is no end.
He congratulated all the MBBS and PG students of RIMS who passed out in 2022. Degree certificates were also distributed to those successful students.
Director, RIMS Prof A Shanta said that even the sky is not the limit for learning. He urged the young doctors to learn as much as possible so that they can perform, transform and reform the society.
Dr Nalin Mehta, Director NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, Dr Lalit Kapoor, Chief Cardiac Surgeon, Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkata and Dean Academics, RIMS Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam also shared the dais as guests of honour.
