Manipur Traditional Wrestling and Pankration teams accorded warm reception

IMPHAL, May 19
Manipur Traditional Wrestling and Prankation team who claimed CM Trophy overall team champion at the 1st AITWPF Federation Cup National Traditional Wrestling and Prankation Championship held from May 12 to 15 at Balbir Singh Indoor Stadium, Raipur were accorded a warm reception at the Kwakeithel office of AMUCO.
The reception programme organised by AMUCO was attended by AMUCO president, Ph Nando; vice president Koijam Helen; weightlifter Laishram Monica; AMUCO general secretary who is also the general secretary of the All Manipur Traditional Weightlifting, Chongtham Ibohal and others presidium members.
The Manipur team led by Laishram Ibopishak as manager bagged a total of 50 gold, 22 silver and 19 bronze medals to emerge overall team champions, said AMUCO in a release.
The dignitaries also extended greetings to the team and further encouraged them to perform well in the future National and international events.
