All test negative

IMPHAL, May 18 : The total number of Covid-19 active cases in the State remained unchanged from yesterday at three as all 108 samples subjected to test  during the last 24 hours turned out to be negative.
All the three active cases belong to general population.
On the other hand, there was neither any report of positive case nor of Covid related death during the last 24 hours even though the pandemic has already claimed 2120 lives in the State.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,230 (general population 1,32,216 and Central security personnel 5,014).
This figure includes 1,35,107 recovered cases (general population 1,30,100 and Central security personnel 5,007).
The recovery rate as on Wednesday is 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,74,576 (first dose 15,64,728, second dose 12,18,046 and precautionary dose 91,802).
Till Tuesday, 61.78 per cent of the State’s total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 51.77 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
