Buddha Purnima celebrated

IMPHAL, May 17
Buddha Purnima was celebrated at Youth Welfare Club, Ningomthong Sairem Leirak community hall yesterday organised by All Manipur Buddhist Association.
On the occasion, former president of All Manipur Buddhist Association, Dr Okram Kumar said that today's structures of temples and pagodas helps in knowing whether Buddhism was followed in ancient times in Manipur.
The incumbent president of All Manipur Buddhist Association, Wangkhem Khamba stated that the association was founded in 1972 and spoke in length about the activities of the association in Manipur and about the growth of Buddhism in the State.
