Blood donation camp held

IMPHAL, May 14
A blood donation camp was organized at 109 Bn, CRPF HQr Mongsangei yesterday in association with the  Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS under the aegis of IG, CRPF, Manipur.
R Bal Krishna, Commandant 109 Bn, CRPF inaugurated the event in the presence of Dr Phaomai Kiron Khon, CMO SG, Sandeep, Second-in-Command 109 Bn, Alex L Kophom, AC, Abonmai Kaipou, AC, Dr Thounaojam Kanta Singh, Unit MO of 109 Bn, Subordinate officers, jawans and Dr Barindro Sharma, HOD, Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS Hospital along with his team, said a press statement by 109 Bn CRPF.
In his inaugural speech, R Bal Krishna emphasized on the need and importance of organizing such events and motivated all the troops of 109 Bn, CRPF to donate blood as a mission to a slogan "Blood Donor Life Saver".
The event was organized as a gesture of noble deed to enhance the availability of blood and save life.
A total of 33 personnel donated blood in today's camp, added the statement.
