Dead bodies handed over

IMPHAL, May 14 : The mortal remains of the two persons who were killed in a road accident yesterday evening at Keikol near 4th IRB campus along Koirengei -Sekmai road have been handed over to their res-pective families after post mortem at JNIMS morgue today.
Deceased Mongbijam Dharmendra, s/o M Krishna-mani of Thangmeiband Meisnam Leikai and Rajesh Kumar s/o Parsuram Thakur of Maghari village, Bihar died yesterday at Keikol near 4th IRB campus when a  loaded Tata truck fell over them at around 5.30 pm.
Police sources said that the sand-loaded Tata truck was coming from the Sekmai side toward Imphal and it was driven by one Thohri (29), s/o Pfokrelo of Khongnem Thana village. The driver lost control of the vehicle and turned turtle killing the two persons instantly.
A case has been registered at Heingang police station and the driver has been taken into police custody.
