3 test positive

IMPHAL, May 12: After two consecutive days of zero positive cases, three persons were confirmed positive out of 106 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours which implies daily positivity rate of 2.8 per cent.
The three persons who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (2) and Bishnupur (1).
Following recovery, one Covid-19 positive person was discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases now stands at 1,37,230 (general population 1,32,216 and Central security personnel 5,014).
This figure includes nine active cases, all belonging to the general population and 1,35,101 recovered cases (general population 1,30,094 and Central security personnel 5,007).
While the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours, the recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.45 per cent.
Till Wednesday, 61.70 per cent of the State’s total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine.
Meanwhile 51.59 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
