IMPHAL, Apr 8: Three residents of Imphal West, Ukhrul and Senapati were confirmed positive for Covid-19 out of 323 samples tested during the last 24 hours which took the daily positivity rate to 0.9 per cent.
There was neither any report of Covid related death nor recovery of Covid positive people during the last 24 hours which means the death toll remains static at 2120.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is now 1,37,146  (general population 1,32,132 and Central security personnel 5,014).
This figure includes 49 active cases from general population and 1,34,977 recovered cases (general population 1,29,970 and Central security personnel 5,007).
The recovery rate as on Friday is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 146 D-type oxygen cylinders and 40 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Currently, only one (out of 300) Covid bed of JNIMS and another one (out of 190) of RIMS are occupied.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,01,132 (first dose 15,46,688, second dose 11,86,986 and precautionary dose 67,458).
It includes 2278 doses jabbed yesterday.
Till Thursday, 61.58 per cent of the State’s total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 50.70 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
