Farmers' body urges

Loumi Sinmi Apunba Lup (LAL) has appealed to the Agriculture Directorate to revoke the order which notified that distribution of urea fertilizer to farmers will be done on the basis of Soil Health Card.
LAL in a press release said that though the soil testing step is a good initiative however the process will be a lengthy one and is not feasible at the moment since the sowing season is going to start soon therefore it urged the Agriculture Directorate to revoke the said order and issue a new order in the interest of the farmers of the State.
Apunba Loumi Lup, Thoubal district in a separate press release too urged the Directorate to revoke the order since the farmers are worried over the possibility of the shortage of fertilizers this season as well which may add more burden to them.
