Training prog ends

IMPHAL, Apr 7 : The 50-day training programme jointly organised by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati and Wild Forest Institute of Skill Development (WIFISD) titled 'Short Term Training on Mushroom Grower' came to a close today at Oksu Ningthemcha Khul.
A statement issued by Wild Forest Institute of Skill Development shared that the training programme was sponsored by National Backward Classes Finance and Development Council and commenced from January 22.
During the day's event, the trainees displayed their self-made mushroom pickles and  a new workshed was also inaugurated.
Speaking on the occasion, proprietor of WIFISD, stated that there is an increasing demand of mushroom in Manipur and as such, with a little hard work, mushroom cultivation can provide an income source to the many unemployed youths of the state.
He also highlighted the need for unemployed youths to turn to entrepreneurship as  a means to improve their financial condition.
Speaking on behalf of 30 members of a self help group who were beneficiaries of the programme, Leibaklotpi stated that they had benefited a lot from the training programme and learnt of many new things which will help them towards self-employment and at the same time contribute in improving the economy of Manipur.
