Ukhrul, Apr 29 : Nagas living in Manipur, Nagaland and Myanmar came together to renew the emotional attachment of the people spread across the two countries and States at Kachai village during the 31st general conference of the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong.
Travelling more than 150 kms, secretary of Tangkhul Naga Literary & Cultural Committee of Myanmar Chingpoh Khashung backed the call for integrating  all Naga contiguous areas of both India and Myanmar and live under one single administration.
There are nine officially recognised Naga tribes in Myanmar living in Sagiang Division, he said and added that in India, the Nagas are spread across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
Educated in India, Chingpoh went on to become a community leader in Myanmar. A cultural troupe accompanied him to the trip to Kachai to exhibit cultural dance & folk songs to revitalise the bond of love and strengthen the fraternal relations between the Nagas.
A song echoing "Nagas across borders are united in spirit and cannot be separated by any external force" was presented to suit the occasion.
President of NSF Kegwayhun Tep appreciated the Tangkhuls for their immense contribution to the Naga political movement noting that they have always taken a pivotal role in upholding the Naga identity politically, socially and culturally.
Kegwayhun expressed confidence that TKS conference will convince Naga's youngster to prepare to tackle numerous challenges and issues which confront the people at present. A discussion and deliberation session on the theme "Embracing Diversity" was also held.
