Mao Youth Organisation (MYO) has appealed to the Tenyimi People's Organisation (TPO) to prevail upon the parties concerned in regard of the land dispute over Kazing/Koziirii/Kezoltsa and Dzuko/Dziikou to desist from going to media/press which will vitiate relationships among the Tenyimi brethren by informing the public with only one sided versions and triggering a parallel trial on media, disturbing the arbitration process.
In a release, MYO stated that the Mao Council is one of the signatories to the Arbitration Undertaking of 2017.
"The structure on issuing statement on the land dispute was decided with a view to avoid paper wars within the Tenyimi family and to ensure congenial conditions for smooth settlement of the dispute under Tenyimi Customary Laws and traditional practices for which the TPO has instituted a Board of Arbitrators (BOA)", it added.
MYO stated that all the three contending parties have submitted their position papers, counters to position papers, additional information, counter to additional information and maps, field visits and aerial surveys over the disputed areas.
The merits of the case are to be drawn from the case materials that are now in the custody of the TPO/BOA", it added.
