First aid training held

IMPHAL, Apr 26 : Indian Red Cross Society Manipur State Branch, Youth Red Cross Unit I, II, III and Manipur College jointly organised a basic first aid training cum dissemination programme at Manipur College, today.
Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch secretary retired IAS officer RK Nimai, Youth Red Cross Manipur State Branch co-ordinator Athokpam Nabachandra, Indian Red Cross Society Imphal East chairman Narendra Ningomba and Manipur College Principal Dr Waikhom Sambhunath were the presidium members.
At the event, RK Nimai said that there is always a  shortage of blood even though many people have been donating the same.
Saying that there is no harm in donating blood, RK Nimai urged the people to donate blood to save lives.
RK Nimai also urged the people to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 and adhere to the Covid safety protocols to avoid infections. During the programme, volunteers of Red Cross Society  gave first aid training to the students.
