Legal awareness programme conducted

TENGNOUPAL, Apr 24: District Legal Service Authority Chandel in collaboration with Realize Rehabilitation Centre (RRC), Imphal and Adullam Drug Rehabilitation Centre (ADRC), Moreh on Sunday organised a one day legal awareness cum interaction programme on "Fighting drugs menace" at Kwatha village in Tengnoupal district. The programme conducted under the sponsorship of Manipur State Legal Service Authority was attended by Sarungbam Mangaleibi, Judicial Migistrate First Class cum Civil Judge Junior Division Moreh; Kwatha Village Authority secretary, Sanjoy and Kwatha Meira Paibi secretary, N Tombi Chanu as presidium members.
W Ole, chief functionary RRC; Y Laba, chairman RRC; and Thangkhohao Haokip, chairman ADRC also took part in the programme as resource persons.
At the event, the resource persons enlightened the gathering on how to take care of drug addicts and guide them towards a better path.
N Tombi appreciated the DLSA Chandel for its role in organising the awareness cum interaction programme for the welfare of the public.
