‘Investors’ stage sit in

IMPHAL, Apr 24: The All Manipur GMT Investors Welfare Association (AMGMTIWA) staged a sit in protest at Kwakeithel today demanding the State Government to produce Pukhram Michael, founder of Grow Manipur Team (GMT) to return the money of the investors. The protest demonstration was staged at the ground of Thounaojam Leikai Development Association, which lies opposite to Kwakeithel Tiddim Ground.
At the protest site, AMGMTIWA secretary O Surjit claimed that Pukhram Michael had absconded after collecting a large chunk of money from him and others. He then urged the State Government to arrest the founder of GMT and his associates at the earliest.
Claiming that though Michael had assured to return the money by March 15, 2022 the same hasn't been delivered yet, Surjit alleged that the founder of GMT and his associates have run away instead of returning the invested money.
He further maintained that a complaint has already been submitted to the Commissioner of Art and Culture and SP concerned.
