Farmers' bodies appeal

All Manipur Agriculture Workers Union have urged the Agriculture Minister and Agriculture Director to bring out the truth in connection with the seizure of 200 bags of urea on  the night of April 20 at Kakching Wabagai Mairenbam Leikai.
In a statement, All Manipur Agriculture Union appealed to the relevant authorities to reveal how the individuals involved in the incident came to be in possession of those 200 bags of urea.
 The Union also urged the Chief Minister to look into the matter and take up appropriate action against the responsible parties.
In a separate statement, All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association (AMPFA) has also urged relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators responsible for this incident to justice. The statement further appealed farmers to try and put a stop to the sale and purchase of fertilisers in the black market at an increased price.
