Village authorities allege

IMPHAL, Apr 23: Village authorities of different villages in Chandel and Tengnoupal districts have alleged that the rice for the month of April under NFSA has not reached the beneficiaries even though it has been lifted from Langjing FCS godown on April 18.
A statement jointly signed by the chiefs of various villages including Kwarkhuren, Khongkhang, Kanpakhupiu, Ringkhudam, Srinadam, Kanan Khuren and Ksen Dampi, alleged that when the village authorities enquired about the whereabouts of the rice, rice agent of Angbrasu centre threatened them. The statement added that if the ration doesn't reach the beneficiaries by April 26, the village chiefs will initiate legal action.
