Bomb attack

IMPHAL, Apr 21 : Unknown miscreants carried out a bomb attack  at Samurou while another group planted an IED at Thangmeiband, yesterday.
Reportedly, the bomb attack was carried out at the house of Oinam  Itocha (65), a resident of Samurou Mamang Leikai last night at around 7.30.
No person was injured in the explosion other than damaging some portion of the house's wall.
A case has been registered at Wangoi police station.
On the same day, an IED was found planted at the gate of  one house at Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai Watham Leirak.
The house belongs to Sub Inspector Chabungbam Prasanta of Manipur Police Department. SI Prasanta is currently posted at Lamphel police station. The bomb was disposed of at Lamphel dumping site yesterday itself.
