IMPHAL, Apr 21: As part of their ongoing effort to assist the needy, Like Minded Group (LMG) has provided monetary assistance to the tune of Rs 20,000 to Elangbam Rejina Devi (34) from Nambol Maibam Chingmang.

Five years ago, Elangbam Rejina Devi, w/o E Rabi Singh suffered from renal failure of both kidneys. Following this, she underwent a kidney transplant at Chandigarh after selling off a considerable amount of their assets for the procedure. LMG handed over the monetary aid to E Rejina's mother-in-law Rohini Devi at their residence.
LMG's advisory board member Sobita Mongjam and vice-president Baleshwor Longjam led the aid extension trip while secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam, publicity secretary Rakesh Naorem and Dr Eteen Maibam among others were also present.
Ojit Sorokhaibam encouraged people to extend a helping hand to their fellow men and laid assurance that LMG will continue to provide aid to those who need it.
