Block Health Mela continues

IMPHAL, Apr 21 : A Block Health Mela & Telemedicine of Ayushman Bharat-HWC was held today at Yumnam Huidrom in Imphal West and Kyamgei in Imphal East district.
The programme at Yumnam Huidrom was organised by District Health Society, Imphal West at Yumnam Huidrom Higher Secondary School in the presence of Wangoi AC MLA Khuraijam Loken, Health Director Dr K Rajo, State Mission Director of National Health Mission Dr N Somorjit, CMO Imphal West Dr S Priyokumar and SDO H Sukumar.
During the mela, different stalls were opened and provided free treatment and immunisation facilities. An opportunity to enrol for CMHT was also given.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, MLA Kh Loken urged all Government employees to render their services sincerely for the betterment of the people, especially the younger generation.
He also urged the people to take benefits of the different Government's schemes and programmes.
People have the right to express their aspiration appropriately and there is no shame in asking for help, the MLA maintained.
Dr K Rajo said that the mela is being held as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and the 100 days action programme of the State Government and it will continue till tomorrow.
He also informed that the CM Health For All scheme has covered about 300 villages and increased the financial coverage of CMHT to the level of PMJAY.
The District Health Society, Imphal East also organised the programme at Kyamgei Mayai Leikai Community Hall in the attendance of Keirao AC Lourembam Rameshwor.
The MLA said that the BJP led Government has been taking the Government's services to the doorstep of the masses and the mela being organised under the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh has benefited a large number of people.
At Kyamgei, about 32 stalls were set up.
